The Guide You Wish Someone Would Give You On How To Be Healthier
  • Home

I always wanted to write a guide on how to be healthy because they're so much misinformation out there and a lot of people are suffering. There are so people who go on a diet to lose weight yet over time they gain back even more weight and gain more health problems. We have one person who says you need to eat like this and you have another person who says exact opposite. I feel that people are extremely confused and are so overwhelmed they feel like just giving up. I want to make this guide as simple as possible so anyone could apply the principles I preach.

I want people to first understand that being healthy is a lifestyle and many different people have different interpretations of what being healthy means to them. Your health is not just what you eat and how much exercise you get but your happiness. Your lack of social communication and your pessimism are all related to your health. I find that many people think that being healthy is just living longer but the truth is your health is defined by how you feel all the time. There are so many people who try to find their happiness externally but the reality is happiness is an inside job not an outside job. You can move away and change your environment but you'll never be truly happy until you take care of yourself.

Here are some suggestions I can give you to become more healthy. The first thing you want to do is eliminate all the foods which are rich in polyunsaturated fatty acids. Foods which contain high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids are nuts, seeds, grains and certain types of fish. You want to minimize your consumption of even olive oil because olive oil contains up to 10% percent polyunsaturated fatty acids. The fats that you want to eat are saturated fats. These saturated fats need to come from healthy sources such as grass fed meats and organic coconut oil. You may have heard from popular culture and the conventional medical community that saturated fats are bad because they increase cholesterol. The thing you need to understand is that cholesterol is a precursor to every hormone in your body. In order for your body to produce important hormones and keep these hormones in balance you need to feed it cholesterol. What's very interesting is that a lot of people look at conventional pork as being highly saturated but scientists have actually shown that conventional pork is actually very unsaturated. This means that conventional pork actually contains high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. The reason for this is because when you feed the animals large amounts of grains they get large amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids and when you eat the animals that been fed this diet. You get the excess amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. This should make you realize that when were talking about saturated fats they need to come from animals that have been fed a diet which makes them rich in it. If the animal is fed grass it's whole life or most of his life then the meat would be considered grass fed. These grass fed meats are considerably higher in saturated fats due to the animals diet being grass. You want to ideally get what's called grass finished meat because this means that the animals have been fed grass there whole life. Ultimately though you have to work with what you can get and partially grass fed meats are a better alternative then many other sources of meats.

I just want to advise people that if you go into a store you may see that they carry natural meats winnipeg has many stores and probably most of North America does that sell these so called natural meats. You need to be careful when it comes to the wording as a lot of the stores use this word to market their meats. The problem I see with natural meats is that it could just mean that they are organic meats. The problem with organic meats is that the diet of the animal is still high in grains and that means that these animals have high amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. I don't want to be all negative about organic meats because I still feel that they are greatly superior to conventional meats. If I was traveling and I could only get organic meats I would much rather eat that over conventional meats. Overall though grass fed meats are vastly superior.

I find it very interesting that the conventional medical community says you need to cut the fat out of your meats and take the yoke out of your eggs because the saturated fats are going to harm you. There are however so many examples of science proving that the conventional meats and eggs have very low amounts of saturated fats. It's unfortunate that with conventional medicine they tend to group things in one category. They say that conventional meats increase cholesterol so therefore coconut oil increases cholesterol. Coconut oil didn't even come from an animal so it doesn't have cholesterol. There are so many weak points to the lipid hypotheses. What I'm trying to illustrate is that you need to think for yourself and question things because were talking about the most important thing in your life your health.

Some other things you can do to improve your health is include organic fruits and root vegetables into your diet. You don't want to eat regular vegetables because they contain higher amounts of polyunsaturated fatty acids. You want to also make sure that you thoroughly cook your root vegetables because if you don't cook your vegetables thoroughly enough you breed more endotoxin in your gut. Endotoxin is bacteria that feed on undigested food and these bacteria cause the body to produce more lactic acid. This lactic acid slows down your metabolism and causes many other health ramifications. There are probably many other negative aspects to endotoxin that we currently don't fully understand.

You want to also ensure that you have proteins, carbohydrates and fats within each meal. You want to take your temperature using a thermometer orally 20 minutes after your meal. You want to be 98°F and above. If you are below 98°F you are in the catabolic state of breaking down muscle tissue to rise blood sugar to get glucose into your cells. By tweaking your ratios of micro nutrients you can actually increase your metabolism. Doing so will greatly improve your health. You want to also judge your exercise by your body temperature. For example if you do cardiovascular exercise you will notice that there'll be a decrease in body temperature for a couple hours. This decrease in body temperature demonstrates that the cardiovascular exercise you did decreased your metabolism and put you further into a catabolic state. If you are really still interested in exercise I would recommend that you do resistance training or lactic threshold training as this produces less lactic acid. I still feel that you have to be very cautious when it comes to exercise because for some people any exercise will decrease their metabolism. There are some people who just go for a walk and their metabolism decreases. I'm not saying not to walk. I think that motive is important. All I'm saying is you need to be cautious when it comes to exercise as our society is obsessed with it and think that it's the fountain of youth. A lot of times unfortunately it causes a lot more harm then good.

Light therapy is also something else that will increase your metabolism. If you are not able to go outside you can use chicken lamps. Make sure that the chicken lamps are at least 150 Watts preferably 250 Watts. You want to lay underneath these lamps. You can put them a table and lie on the floor. By incorporating light therapy into your lifestyle you can reduce lactic acid and stimulate your metabolism. This will help in your mood, energy and sleep. What you need to understand about health is that it's a cumulative process and you can't just do one thing and expect miracles. Improving your health takes time and commitment. If you have the motivation though you can really make change when it comes to your health. Taking responsibility for your health is very empowering because our conventional medical community is established so much as being codependent on our doctors. If you only do one thing to improve your health that's still going to give you a great feeling of satisfaction because so many people try to improve their health through diet and exercise and get very little results. Don't be one of those people that get little results apply the principles that I preach and you will move forward with your health.
